6th General Assembly Meeting
The sixth General Assembly meeting of the DESIRED project was successfully held between 10–11 April 2025, hosted by Warsaw University (UW) at the Centre of New Technologies (CeNT), marking two productive days of discussions and collaboration.
On the first day of the meeting, project partners gathered to discuss recent updates and outline the next steps across several key areas. These included the development and characterisation of new-concept photocatalysts for C2+ production, the design and engineering of the novel concept reactor, and the validation of the integrated DESIRED fuel production system. Discussions also covered the ongoing sustainability assessment of the system, along with activities related to the dissemination, communication, outcome valorisation, and exploitation of the project results.
As part of the visit, DESIRED partners had the opportunity to tour the laboratories of UW at CeNT, where critical research is being conducted on the development of selective and stable photocathodes for the multielectron CO₂ reduction reaction (CO₂RR).
The second day of the meeting featured the first DESIRED workshop, organised under the project’s Training, Education & Capacity Building programme. The hybrid event, titled “Innovations in CO₂ Reduction Technologies”, was hosted at CeNT by Warsaw University and brought together both international and local experts to explore transformative approaches in carbon capture, conversion, and sustainable energy technologies.
